About the Assistant Property Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Avenue5 Residential, LLC. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a critical role in the overall operations of our properties, ensuring efficient and effective management of day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Property Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the property, including resident satisfaction, retention, and full resident lifecycle activities.
  • Understand and maintain all operations guidelines established within the property management agreement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including accounts receivable, rent rolls, and financial reports.
  • Process evictions, lease renewals, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Inspect properties to ensure safety and cleanliness, and report any issues to maintenance.
  • Assist with resident relations and problem resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in property management required.
  • At least one year of experience with Tax Credit & Section 8 affordable programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
  • Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
  • Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
