Role Responsibilities:

  • Release Management
    • Facilitate release planning and scheduling to ensure comprehensive orchestration of software, hardware, implementation, integration, and deployment.
    • Represent the program in governance meetings for software release approvals.
    • Collaborate with systems engineering and software development to align efforts and maintain a unified set of program capabilities and features.
  • Software Configuration Management
    • Oversee all configuration management activities, including planning, identification, change control, and verification/auditing.
    • Develop and maintain configuration management tools and support identification, control, reporting, and delivery of products.
    • Train team members on configuration management tools as necessary.
    • Establish and uphold internal software configuration management processes and documentation.
    • Work closely with development teams to optimize configuration management practices.
    • Ensure deliverable software media is maintained in a controlled repository.
    • Generate necessary configuration documentation to support software delivery.
    • Conduct and finalize formal audits such as Functional Configuration Audits and Physical Configuration Audits.
  • License Management
    • Assist program management by maintaining a comprehensive list of licensed software and monitoring license keys and expiration dates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or 3 years with a Master's or PhD). Experience may substitute for education.
  • Experience with configuration management product life cycle systems.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Software Suite.
  • U.S. citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for SCI/program SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Experience analyzing software products and documentation handoffs.
  • Familiarity with Git/Gitlab commands and CI/CD methodologies.
