Role Responsibilities:

  • Release Management:
    • Facilitate release planning and scheduling to ensure comprehensive orchestration of software, hardware, implementation, integration, and deployment processes.
    • Represent the program in governance meetings for software release approvals.
    • Collaborate with system engineering and software development teams to synchronize efforts and ensure a unified set of program capabilities and requirements are accurately captured in project management tools.
  • Software Configuration Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of configuration management activities, including planning, identification, change control, and verification/auditing in line with internal standards and contractual obligations.
    • Develop and maintain configuration management tools and support configuration identification and control.
    • Train team members on the utilization of configuration management tools as necessary.
    • Work closely with development teams to establish effective version control strategies and ensure efficient change tracking.
    • Document and communicate key configuration management activities and maintain comprehensive records.
    • Plan and execute formal audits to assess configuration management processes.
  • License Management:
    • Support program management by maintaining an accurate inventory of licensed software, monitoring license keys, and tracking expiration dates.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or 3 years with a Master's or PhD). Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in a configuration management product lifecycle system.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Software Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI/program SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adaptability to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Experience in analyzing and auditing software products and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Git/Gitlab commands and CI/CD methodologies.
