Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Software Configuration Management Analyst to support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground software.

This position is located onsite on our Dulles, VA campus and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP.

After hours or extended work week may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Release Management: Provide planning and scheduling support for software releases, ensuring all aspects including software, hardware, implementation, integration, and deployment are well defined.
  • Software Configuration Management: Oversee configuration management activities including planning, identification, change control, and verification/auditing in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Tool Development: Develop and maintain configuration management tools (i.e., Atlassian Suite) and train others on their use.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain internal processes, procedures, and documentation to support customer requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and software development teams to resolve configuration management issues and ensure efficient change tracking.
  • Audit Management: Plan and conduct formal audits such as Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA).

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline (or 3 years with a Master's or PhD).
  • Experience with configuration management product life cycle systems (i.e., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Software Suite.
  • US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI/program SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Familiarity with Git/Gitlab commands and CI/CD methodology.

Salary Range:
$97,500 - $146,300Salary Range 2: $120,900 - $181,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
