Program Manager for Family Support Services

Position Overview:

Bethany Christian Services is dedicated to transforming lives through family support. With a legacy of over 75 years, we have evolved into a global Christian nonprofit organization, collaborating with communities across numerous states and countries. Our mission is to strengthen families, assist those in crisis, and provide safe, nurturing environments for children in need.

The HOMEBUILDERS program is recognized as a well-supported family preservation initiative, focusing on child safety and family unity. As the Program Manager, you will oversee the program's administration, compliance, and operational management, ensuring fidelity to the model. You will also provide backup management and supervision for the team specialists as necessary. This role acts as a crucial link between the program and state child welfare administration, requiring effective functioning with moderate supervision while adhering to established guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staffing needs of the program and consult with supervisors on clinical and personnel matters;
  • Foster a cohesive team environment and promote positive employee morale;
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies through employee evaluations and administrative processes;
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions in line with agency standards;
  • Provide clinical supervision and administrative support in the absence of the Program Supervisor;
  • Collaborate with administration to ensure compliance with HOMEBUILDERS standards and quality improvement plans;
  • Uphold adherence to all program components and supervisor responsibilities within the HOMEBUILDERS framework;
  • Promote client and staff safety;
  • Participate in team consultation meetings;
  • Be available for on-call support 24/7, ensuring backup coverage when unavailable;
  • Engage in Quality Assurance activities and ensure team participation in training;
  • Assist in reviewing model fidelity and program outcomes;
  • Develop and review quality enhancement plans with supervisors;
  • Maintain positive relationships with referring agencies and community professionals;
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet program needs, including evenings and weekends;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field with two years of experience in family services, or a Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant experience;
  • Preferred experience in a supervisory role;
  • Active or eligible for professional licensure in the relevant field;
  • Strong ability to build and maintain community relationships;
  • Excellent assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and essential computer skills;
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required;
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation;
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check;
  • Commitment to the agency’s Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
