POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Leader is tasked with managing the daily functions of the AR division, ensuring precision and effectiveness in all accounts receivable activities. This position requires leading a team, nurturing robust customer relationships, and enhancing AR outcomes. The successful candidate will possess a solid financial background, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in the dessert industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the AR team, promoting high performance and ongoing professional growth.
  • Conduct routine performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Encourage a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee the issuance of invoices, credit notes, and customer payments.
  • Guarantee timely and precise recording of all AR transactions.
  • Monitor and manage the AR aging report to reduce outstanding balances.
  • Establish and uphold effective credit management practices.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth customer interactions.
  • Prepare and deliver regular AR reports to senior management.
  • Analyze AR data to uncover trends, potential risks, and areas for enhancement.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to boost AR performance and cash flow.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Continuously assess and refine AR processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and utilize technology to optimize AR operations.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a comparable finance role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and AR procedures.

Experience:

  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems (Sage).
