Job Overview

Position: Administrative Assistant in Government Relations

ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Oversee administrative tasks related to company-wide political contributions, including managing budgets and execution processes. Maintain a comprehensive database for political donations and generate necessary reports. Collaborate with legal advisors and external compliance partners to uphold adherence to policies and legal standards.
  • Provide administrative assistance in managing departmental budgets, lobbying efforts, and compliance activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of various contributions to trade associations and nonprofit organizations.
  • Facilitate and promote the organization's advocacy agenda at both federal and state levels, which includes crafting grassroots messaging and developing educational materials to enhance employee participation in advocacy initiatives. Monitor grassroots engagement and coordinate visits from government representatives.
  • Prepare and refresh content for Government Relations communications on departmental and grassroots platforms to guarantee timely access to vital information. Maintain a policy library, including legislative session updates and annual reports from relevant trade associations.
  • Manage the preparation and updating of quarterly advocacy reports and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in business software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a capability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality while overseeing various tasks.
