Job Overview

The role of Administrative Assistant in Government Relations involves a variety of essential administrative tasks that support the organization's political engagement and compliance efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage administrative functions related to corporate political contributions, including maintaining a comprehensive database and generating necessary reports. Collaborate with legal teams and external compliance partners to uphold adherence to all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Provide administrative assistance in the management of departmental budgets, lobbying efforts, and compliance tracking. Oversee the processing and monitoring of contributions to various trade associations and nonprofit organizations.
  • Facilitate and promote the organization's advocacy initiatives at both federal and state levels, which includes supporting grassroots campaigns and creating educational materials to enhance employee participation in advocacy activities. Monitor grassroots involvement and coordinate visits from government representatives.
  • Develop and refresh content for Government Relations communications on departmental and grassroots platforms to ensure timely access to critical information. Maintain a comprehensive policy library, including legislative updates and year-end reports from relevant trade associations.
  • Oversee the preparation and updating of quarterly advocacy reports and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in business software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling various tasks.
