Position: Administrative Assistant - Government Relations
ROLE SUMMARY:
- Oversee administrative tasks related to company-wide political contributions, including managing budgets and execution. Maintain a comprehensive database for political donations and generate necessary reports. Collaborate with legal advisors and external compliance partners to ensure adherence to established Policies & Procedures, as well as statutory and regulatory mandates.
- Provide administrative assistance in managing departmental budgets, lobbying efforts, and compliance tracking. Process and monitor contributions to various trade associations and nonprofit organizations.
- Facilitate and promote the organization's federal and state government relations and advocacy initiatives, including the support of grassroots messaging and the dissemination of educational materials to enhance employee participation in advocacy activities. Monitor grassroots engagement and coordinate visits from government representatives.
- Develop and refresh Government Relations communications for departmental and grassroots platforms to ensure prompt distribution of critical information. Maintain a policy library, which includes legislative session updates and year-end reports from trade associations.
- Administer and revise quarterly advocacy reports and related materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in business software applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling various tasks.
Texas Staff HQ adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding workforce vaccination mandates.
