This position plays a critical role in identifying payer sources for uninsured and underinsured patients, as well as determining patient financial responsibility for services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with patients, physicians, and payers, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient billing information to identify potential issues and ensure accurate payment processing
  • Analyze patient financial situations to determine eligibility for financial assistance programs
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and payers to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient concerns
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in patient financial services or a related field
  • Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $20.55 - $30.79 per hour, based on industry standards and market conditions.
