The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with patients, physicians, and payers, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient billing information to identify potential issues and ensure accurate payment processing
  • Analyze patient financial situations to determine eligibility for financial assistance programs
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and payers to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient concerns
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in patient financial services or a related field
  • Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $20.55 - $30.79 per hour, based on industry standards and market conditions.
