Job Summary

The Medical Assistant - Patient Care Coordinator will work closely with our clinical staff to ensure seamless patient experiences. Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Duties: Prepare patients for encounters, assist clinicians during exams, and maintain examination rooms and equipment.
  • Scheduling and Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and performing other administrative tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification/Registration or current Vermont State LNA License.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of basic computer skills and medical terminology.

Salary and Benefits
