Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant serves as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries and provides administrative support with the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee record maintenance, benefits, and payroll. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources, who will provide ongoing guidance and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provides clerical and administrative support to the Director of Human Resources, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  2. Assists with recruitment efforts, including coordinating with hiring managers and ensuring timely onboarding processes.
  3. Reviews background checks for employment clearance and maintains accurate personnel records.
  4. Administers new hire onboarding processes, coordinates new hire orientation, and ensures new hires are set up according to position requirements.
  5. Maintains and updates personnel records and files, both electronic and paper-based.
  6. Tracks 90-day performance reviews and assists with year-end focal performance review processes.
  7. Serves as the first point of contact for general HR-related inquiries, providing information on employee benefits, policies, and procedures.
  8. Assists in payroll preparation, reviews time records, and reports.
  9. Supports new hire benefit enrollments and open enrollment processes.
  10. Participates in planning morale programs and events, contributing to the company's Culture Committee.
  11. Completes ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by the supervisor.
  12. Maintains regular and consistent attendance according to required work schedules.
  13. Provides exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, and guests, representing the company in a professional manner at all times.

  • Basic understanding of HRIS systems.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources Assistant role is highly preferred.
