The Human Resources Support Specialist will play a vital role within the HR team, delivering a broad spectrum of administrative assistance to enhance the functionality of the Human Resources department. This position is essential for maintaining employee documentation, coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, and executing various assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in HR initiatives aimed at boosting employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including preparation of materials for New Hire Orientation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of employee documentation, data entry, and communicating vital information to relevant parties.
- Manage the coordination of departing employees, which includes scheduling exit interviews, preparing exit documentation, and updating HRIS, as well as notifying necessary departments.
- Engage in various HR audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Address internal and external inquiries related to the HR department.
- Oversee the HR mailbox and resolve incoming communications.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning.
- Provide support for projects and special events as needed.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Proficient in learning HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, and training platforms.
- Commitment to high-quality standards and providing exceptional support to employees and departments.
- Strong attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to deliver efficient, timely, and courteous service to staff.
- Ability to effectively address time-sensitive matters.
- Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment with a proven ability to build relationships.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
A High School Diploma/GED or an Associate degree is preferred, along with 1-3 years of relevant office experience in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Regular communication is required, and frequent use of hands for handling objects or controls is necessary. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching are also required. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The typical noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
