Job Overview:

The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting various human resource functions, encompassing employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, compensation management, policy enforcement, training, and performance evaluation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a reliable advisor for employees and management on HR-related inquiries, including policies, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Maintain and refresh HR documentation such as employee handbooks, job descriptions, and personnel files.
  • Source and recruit suitable candidates for open positions, conduct preliminary screenings, coordinate interviews, perform background checks, and manage new hire documentation.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and lead HR and benefits orientation sessions.
  • Assist in the creation, coordination, and execution of HR systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Support managers in developing their team members, including career progression and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with management to analyze feedback and formulate action plans based on employee engagement surveys.
  • Help coordinate the annual performance review and salary increase process.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze results, and provide recommendations to minimize turnover.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards as requested by management and corporate offices.
  • Track and analyze key HR metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Assist in administering the company's drug and alcohol testing programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws; review policies to maintain compliance.
  • Develop and implement various HR initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Monitor employee attendance and manage timecard entries for hourly staff.
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Assist with payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Keep track of training and development activities and support the Training Manager with related projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • One to three years of experience in human resources is required.

Travel Requirements:
This role may involve occasional travel, up to 10% of the time.
