Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at LifeMed Alaska LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, financial data analysis, and cash handling.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  2. Accounts Payable Management: Facilitate accounts payable, including invoice processing and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  3. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other general ledger accounts.
  4. Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  6. Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparations and compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns and supporting documentation.
  7. External Audit Support: Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
  8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Experience: 3 years in accounting role.

Skills and Qualifications: Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, including building formulas, workbooks, and pivot table functions. Experience in accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) duties with data input. Experience working directly in an accounting role with responsibility for keeping and maintaining records, entering journal entries, and reporting.

Other Qualifications: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy and procedure manuals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and other employees. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and apply them to the situation.

Attendance: Regular attendance is required for this position.

English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
