POSITION: ACCOUNTING MANAGER

As an Accounting Manager, you will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, taking on a pivotal leadership role within our Accounting division. Your responsibilities will encompass guiding and mentoring teams in General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and supporting financial reporting and audit processes.

This role is integral to our department's growth and the overall success of the company. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise while also developing new skills in management and coaching. The Accounting department is crucial to our future, as we continue to expand and enhance our services.

Work Environment

The Accounting team operates primarily from our offices located at the Ted Stevens International Airport. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with potential flexibility for remote work following initial training. Our culture emphasizes in-person collaboration, fostering a dynamic office atmosphere.

Your initial focus will be on building relationships with your team and understanding our operational processes. You will engage with various departments to gain insights into their functions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our organizational structure.

After approximately three months, you will be expected to operate independently in your daily tasks. The Vice President of Finance and Administration maintains an open-door policy, encouraging staff to share ideas and seek guidance as needed. You will also play a key role in preparing for our annual financial audit.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent communication and interaction with team members
  • Ability to lift light loads (up to 25 lbs)
  • Regular computer-based tasks
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment
