Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial operations, developing and implementing our financial strategy, and providing financial guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Strategy
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives
    • Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial reports, and forecasts
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed
  • Financial Leadership
    • Provide financial guidance and support to our leadership team, ensuring that financial decisions are informed and strategic
    • Collaborate with our COO and CEO to develop and implement organizational strategies
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee and manage our finance department, ensuring efficient operations and accurate financial reporting
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present financial reports to our Board of Directors and leadership team
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial leadership, with a proven track record of success
    • Experience in managing annual budgets in excess of $10M
  • Skills
    • Excellent executive leadership skills, with a strong ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
    • Experience with financial software and systems, including AccuFund
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance
  • Experience
    • Experience in non-profit accounting and fundraising
  • Skills
    • Professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Work Environment

This role will operate in a professional office environment, with occasional exposure to other work settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. It may be necessary for the employee to use their personal vehicle to attend meetings outside of the office or to complete company business.
