Position Summary:

The Donor Relations Associate is essential in bolstering the development team's efforts, focusing on fundraising and donor stewardship. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, ensuring accurate processing of donations, and creating exceptional experiences for our donors and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the advancement team's capacity to cultivate and sustain relationships with donors through various communication channels.
  • Generate thoughtful donor acknowledgments and correspondence.
  • Assist in identifying potential donors for new engagement opportunities.
  • Oversee multiple email accounts to guarantee prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate & Community Giving Officer and program staff on special corporate initiatives, including drives and volunteer events.
  • Manage the in-kind donation program, soliciting support aligned with departmental objectives, recording donations, and ensuring excellent service to donors.
  • Support the execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Assist the fundraising team with operational tasks and data management, promoting effective use of data in daily activities.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of data and processes, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Apply Community Centric Fundraising principles in daily responsibilities.
  • Contribute to special projects, development activities, and donation collection efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with program staff and other development team members.
  • Identify and propose process enhancements to improve supporter experience and team efficiency.
  • Serve as a backup for the Development Operations Specialist in gift processing and acknowledgment tasks.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $25.00
  • Full-Time position, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of four years.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality and practicing active listening.
  • Dependable and responsible, with a commitment to completing tasks punctually.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions.
  • Preferred experience in customer service and nonprofit organizations.
  • Demonstrated dedication to addressing issues related to homelessness, poverty, and social justice.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
