Customer Service Representative

Location: Plymouth, MN, US

Purpose of the Role:

The primary objective of this position is to assist the sales team in executing the sales strategy and promoting both company-branded and other products to achieve or surpass individual, division, and corporate profit targets through consistent engagement with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a direct representative of the company to customers and the public, maintaining ethical and reliable interactions.
  • Engage with customers regularly to accurately solicit and process orders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with current clients to ensure our products meet their expectations and address their current and future needs.
  • Provide customers with essential information regarding product features and promotions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and availability.
  • Support the sales department by developing and maintaining tools for efficient pricing and order communication.
  • Manage order entry and coordinate product shipping and freight logistics.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by interacting positively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and relay any special requirements from clients.
  • Be adaptable and willing to assist in various areas of the company as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to build relationships and partner with clients to promote company products.
  • Strong skills in managing customer relations, including strategic planning, organizational skills, sales forecasting, and goal achievement.
  • Familiarity with company and competitor products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and creative thinking.
  • Ability to establish trust and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Competence in utilizing training materials effectively.
  • Capability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and industry.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Experience in a food sales environment, particularly with perishables, is desirable.
