Position Overview:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role within the sales team at Mueller Systems. This role necessitates regular, scheduled visits to both established and prospective clients to secure sales and expand our market presence within the designated territory, which encompasses the entire state of Florida.
The Regional Sales Executive collaborates with fellow sales professionals in the Eastern Region to meet defined goals and objectives in accordance with Mueller's guidelines through the following key responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets for Residential, Commercial, and AMR/AMI products through both direct and distribution channels.
- Engage in Solution Selling to attract new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Respond to direct account Bid/Request for Proposals, participate in local technical seminars, trade shows, and exhibitions, and foster relationships with local engineering firms.
- Support and collaborate with distributors within the assigned territory.
- Conduct account profiling, technical demonstrations, training, and provide comprehensive product and market knowledge.
- Identify and influence significant sales opportunities, offering complete project details, budget considerations, decision-makers, and pricing strategies.
- Provide regular updates on territory forecasts and maintain the customer CRM database.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field; an engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of acquiring new business and surpassing sales goals.
- Must reside within the region and be available for travel throughout the entire assigned territory.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and comfortable presenting to groups.
- Willingness to travel 75% or more of the time.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).
- Prior experience in RF AMR/AMI utility meter reading systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM systems is preferred.
