Regional Sales Director

Job Summary:
As a Regional Sales Director at Air Methods, you will be responsible for directing, coaching, and mentoring Account Executives to ensure sales KPIs are met each month and quarter. You will develop the regional sales strategy and ensure regional growth targets are met. Your role will involve utilizing sales structure and tactics for growth while receiving direction and strategy from the Regional Vice President of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct, coach, mentor, and develop Account Executives
Direct sales efforts of new business opportunities and customers within the region
Prepare and implement an annual sales business plan to achieve Air Methods KPIs
Succession planning, including cross-training of Regional Business Development Directors
Ensure marketing programs align with Air Methods standards and branding objectives
Assist in preparing an annual capital and operational budget for area sales/marketing programs
Work closely with SVP Sales and Regional Vice President to provide timely updates on business and demographic changes
Evaluate compliance with program performance indicators and identify variances
Coordinate with Regional Directors to ensure sales/business development and business partnership objectives are met
Maintain key existing customer relationships and partnerships
Evaluate risks and benefits of contractual arrangements with Regional Directors and make changes/modifications as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and ten years of related experience in aviation or medical transportation services
Master's degree preferred
Five years of sales and/or business development experience
Experience in medical transportation services or healthcare business development/sales preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage remote sales teams
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent with the essential job functions
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondences, and presentations to senior leadership
Proven leadership and professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
Proven leadership in a sales environment
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MapPoint, and Outlook
