Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will lead and engage a team of Sales Executives and direct the activities of the branch sales organization, including account relations, channel management, new product introductions, and preparation of forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers, National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, and Spec team to strategically align sales team, identify and own key decision maker customers, and execute joint strategy to grow in accordance with sales plan.
  • Lead and engage a team of Sales Executives and direct the activities of the branch sales organization, including account relations, channel management, new product introductions, and preparation of forecasts.
  • Responsible for overall execution and accountability for maximum market share penetration within the branch boundaries.
  • Maintain direct personal contact with Kohler accounts, call mix as directed.
  • Coordinate, develop, review, and approve annual forecasts.
  • Develop a strong account base with sales associates and assist in selecting and approving new accounts - distributor or retail.
  • Approve, orient, and develop new distribution/retail customers as required.
  • Authorize and/or recommend settlement of customer and consumer claims.
  • Rejuvenate existing customers to meet regional and corporate needs.
  • Conduct regional planning meetings.
  • Administer the branch, including personnel management, budget development, capital budgeting, and expense report review.
  • Analyze sales and expenditures, make territory alignments, and review and approve defective ware claim reports.
  • Coordinate and report on market research requests and assure compliance with legal bulletins.
  • Authorize and/or approve competitive discounts and/or other requirements consistent with field competitive conditions, Kohler Co. policy, and profit margins.
  • Keep the region competitive, maintain volume to keep the plant at high levels of production, maximize profit, and know competitive market conditions.
  • Keep Kohler, Wisconsin, aware of market conditions and maintain a flow of competitive product information, quotations, and other information of interest to Kohler, Wisconsin.
  • Attend industry functions, become involved in the industry, speak before industry groups, and be prepared to handle any assignment issued by Kohler, Wisconsin.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of sales or marketing experience required.
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Salary range: $106,900 - $133,600 plus a competitive half-yearly sales incentive bonus.
  • Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and pension with eligibility to participate in the car program.
