Job Summary

The Inside Sales Team Lead is a key member of our senior management team, responsible for assisting in daily processes and activities. This includes sales conversations with key clients to maintain relationships, making presentations to introduce products and increase sales, providing service and solving problems, while developing important leadership skills for future career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage product knowledge and market intelligence with customers and cover territories as needed.
  • Build key relationships with top accounts.
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts and plans for sales activities by forecasting conditions, defining objectives and strategies, and securing resources.
  • Assist senior management to ensure execution of team quotas and orders.
  • Assist senior management to influence sales rep performance by providing leadership, developing personnel, communicating with, and motivating staff.
  • Coordinate training sessions and monitor adherence to brand standards throughout area of responsibility.
  • Plan and participate in general market sales meetings. Prepare and maintain required paperwork, reports, and records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; four or more years related experience, preferably management work with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the wine and spirits industry is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Sake Specialist are a plus.
