Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at IASIS Healthcare. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient schedules, appointments, and testing, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Register patients in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect patient co-pays and prior balances, ensuring that all financial obligations are met.
  • Perform pre-visit planning, including running insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorizations as needed.
  • Work closely with providers to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and accurate.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office preferred.
