Job Summary
Integrated Dermatology is a leading national dermatology practice seeking a patient service representative to support our team. As a patient service representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our partner dermatologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointment reminders and follow-up scheduling
- Verify patient insurance and update demographics in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Understand and navigate patient insurance referrals, authorizations, eligibility, deductibles, out-of-pocket, and co-insurance details
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, faxing, and scanning
- Communicate with patients via phone and email to address their inquiries and concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- 1+ year of experience in a medical administrative position
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional presence and demonstrate patient advocacy and conflict resolution skills
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
