Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Operations Manager to join our team at American Air Filter International. As a key member of our service operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of site installation projects, managing a team of technicians, and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate site installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct site surveys, assess customer requirements, and develop technical documentation to support bidding activities.
  • Prepare and manage project-related documents, including risk assessments, method statements, and EH&S programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA compliance, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and expectations, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and control project budgets, labor hours, and equipment requirements, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, including training and coaching on the use and maintenance of air handling units and filtration systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve service operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in site installation, preferably in the industrial and commercial air handling and filtration industry.
  • Proven experience in managing or operating within a multi-discipline site service team.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of air handling units, filtration systems, and related equipment, including HEPA and high-purity filtration systems.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification and OSHA aerial and forklift certification.
  • Proficiency in office computer equipment and software, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in budgeting and estimating labor hours and equipment requirements.
  • Knowledge of duct cleaning, shipping and receiving, and logistics of freight management.
  • Experience in mold remediation and unit encapsulation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to customers.
