Position Overview

The Lead Machine Control Technician role supports on-machine control systems and related equipment, including repairs, installations, measure-ups, calibrations, third party coordination and all related tasks. The Lead Machine Control Technician plays a key role in training of on-site personnel and maintenance teams. This position requires keen understanding of all advancing technology, full system functionality and related data management software.

Kiewit Equipment Services (KES) helps to ensure the profitability of Kiewit projects through the improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability by delivering world-class equipment and service.

Location

This position will be based in Mebane, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate with various members of the project teams
  • Have a complete understanding of various machine control systems
  • Utilizing survey equipment and strategies
  • Accurately utilizing Robotic Total Station
  • Ensuring all Machine control systems are operating within their specified tolerance
  • Traveling as needed for repairs and training
  • Supervise Machine Control Technicians
  • Field support and troubleshooting
  • Complete minor device repairs as needed
Qualifications
  • 4+ years repairing machine control systems
  • 3+ years with Trimble machine control
  • 2+ years training operators with Trimble machine control
  • 1+ years in a supervisor role preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Trimble Certifications in related fields preferred
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to lift 60lbs
  • SAP experience preferred
