Program Manager - Cabin Power Solutions

Overview:

Astronics AES is on the lookout for a skilled Program Manager to leverage their expertise in Electrical Engineering and Program Management within our esteemed Cabin Electronics / Cabin Power Solutions Division. This division stands as a leader in the production of in-seat power systems tailored for the commercial aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Oversight:

  • Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Oversee hardware and software design verification processes.
  • Manage the qualification testing procedures for Boeing and Airbus.

Client Relations:

  • Engage in negotiations regarding pricing and delivery timelines alongside contract administrators.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.

Business Development:

  • Lead efforts on straightforward proposal submissions.
  • Assist in the proposal processes for new or upgraded products, adhering to agreed timelines.

Contractual Compliance:

  • Prepare compliance matrices for statements of work and contractual terms.

Financial Management:

  • Develop budgets for research initiatives and development programs.

Project Scheduling:

  • Create comprehensive schedules for the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the program.

Process Optimization:

  • Drive enhancements in engineering processes by eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into engineering design protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of direct experience in Program Management is required.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as MS Project and MS Office.
  • Experience in regulated industries like Aerospace or Medical Devices is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the new product introduction process is essential.
  • Knowledge of DO-160 standards is a plus.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US Person under ITAR regulations.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
