Position Summary:
- This role is designated for a senior-level professional in application and system engineering.
- Key responsibilities encompass defining analog integrated circuit products, developing and troubleshooting reference circuits, authoring datasheets and application notes, and delivering technical support and training.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design engineers, field applications teams, and marketing to specify high-density module products for cloud computing power solutions targeting CPU, GPU, ASIC, and SOC.
- Create application reference circuits and system-level power management solutions tailored for Data Center and AI applications.
- Conduct hands-on evaluations in the lab, engage in system and board-level debugging, and demonstrate prototypes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and spearhead new product initiatives.
- Compose datasheets, application notes, design documentation, and articles for industry publications and conferences to advocate for MPS products.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in switch-mode power supply design, particularly in multi-phase core power design. Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and frequency analyzers is essential.
- Experience with multi-phase products is highly advantageous, along with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as Simplis, Maxwell, and Icepak is preferred.
- Experience in PCB design and layout is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.
- Exceptional writing and presentation abilities are necessary.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
Educational Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
MPS provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health care coverage, dental and vision insurance, a 401(K) plan, an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), up to 11 company-paid holidays, and paid time off based on tenure. Additional benefits include discretionary bonuses and life and disability insurance. Employees in specific roles may qualify for sales incentive bonuses and stock compensation.
Compensation is competitive and based on market location, with variations depending on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
