Position Summary: Under the guidance of an HR Lead and/or Supervisor, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator plays a crucial role in fulfilling our HR requirements through various administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the selection of qualified Personal Care Workers (PCW) for available roles.
- Conduct or obtain background checks and verify employee eligibility.
- Perform initial orientation for newly hired PCWs.
- Maintain PCW records and ensure all employee data is current.
- Organize and schedule PCW training sessions.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Contribute to office organization and perform administrative tasks as assigned.
- Respond to and direct phone inquiries.
- Support HR Lead and/or Supervisor in preparing HR documentation.
- Address employee inquiries regarding HR-related matters.
- Engage in HR initiatives (e.g., assist in organizing a job fair event).
- Accurately document all activities in the Electronic Health Record and Payroll System.
- Uphold confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Experience with HR software, such as HRIS or HRMS.
- Competence in computer applications (MS Office 365 and Google Suite).
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Proven ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to quickly build rapport and foster relationships.
Work Environment: This role is primarily office-based.
