We are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to manage the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. This role encompasses recruitment, payroll management, employee benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations. A key aspect of this position is to facilitate effective communication between HR and our Personal Care Workers (PCW), addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. The HR Coordinator will report to and support the HR Supervisor.


The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively while delegating responsibilities to manage workload efficiently. A solid background in Human Resource Management is essential, along with the capacity to strategically align HR priorities. The successful applicant will demonstrate autonomy and composure in high-pressure situations. A degree in HR or a related field, along with relevant industry experience, is preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for qualified candidates.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Provide initial orientation for newly hired personal care workers.
  • Administer HR programs related to payroll, benefits, disciplinary actions, performance management, employee recognition, occupational health and safety, and training.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Participate in employee performance reviews, disciplinary meetings, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies to maintain compliance.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist or in a relevant HR role.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Human Resource Management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all dealings.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Work Environment: This position is primarily office-based.
