Human Resources Generalist I
FLSA STATUS:
Hourly / Overtime Eligible
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for delivering essential administrative support to the Employee Services & Benefits Department.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Execute administrative tasks and services related to the department, including document scanning and responding to inquiries.

2. Manage the preparation, processing, and follow-up of employment verifications, employee references, ID badges, background checks, and end-of-employment documentation.

3. Assist with audit preparations, tuition support requests, and data entry into the HRIS system.
E
4. Generate and submit reports and documents as required.
E
5. Facilitate new employee orientation sessions.
E
6. Provide assistance on various projects and special assignments.

7. Perform clerical duties for the department.
E
8. Attend meetings and professional development activities as requested.

9. Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.

10. Exhibit teamwork and collaboration.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is typically conducted in an office environment and may involve some local travel.
REPORTS TO:
HR Manager or designated representative.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma with three (3) years of experience in a Human Resource environment.
OR - Associate Degree or equivalent (60 credits) from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a closely related field with one (1) year of administrative experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English), both spoken and written.
(Required) Qualifies for annual stipend. - Organized individual with strong organizational skills.
- Must possess a friendly demeanor and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must successfully pass all background checks.

Salary Description:
$17.50 to $19.50 per Hour
