Job Overview

Career Strategies is seeking a qualified Community Manager to oversee an apartment complex in Vancouver. We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong leadership abilities, a commendable work ethic, a positive demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Previous experience in property management is essential.

Position: Community Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff, including maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct tenant screenings and manage credit evaluations.
  • Develop work schedules and prepare units for new tenants.
  • Monitor contract work and inspect areas of concern, including buildings and grounds.
  • Inspect units to ensure they are in optimal condition prior to tenant move-ins.
  • Ensure the community is well-maintained and safe for residents.
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll reports.
  • Complete Monthly Operating Reports.

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or Tenant Tech.
  • Experience in Residential Property Management.
  • Strong self-management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent tenant and employee relations capabilities.
  • Solid skills in collections and accounts receivable.
  • Experience in budgeting and marketing strategies.
  • Understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
