Position Summary:

The Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and modification of facilities and equipment. This role involves coordinating various projects and ensuring that all operations align with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage renovations and expansions of facilities.
  • Conduct inspections of construction and installation to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate building space allocation and layout planning.
  • Assess building structures to identify necessary repairs.
  • Organize office space and meeting areas efficiently.
  • Oversee the transport and disposal of office equipment and furniture.
  • Supervise contracts for cleaning and maintenance services.
  • Monitor work order progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and manage project timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between property management and company leadership.
  • Evaluate and adjust HVAC systems to optimize energy usage.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance across all properties, including HVAC and safety preparations.
  • Manage parking allocations and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Lead safety initiatives and conduct safety training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Oversee fire safety drills and emergency preparedness.
  • Manage equipment maintenance requests and maintain asset lists.
  • Maintain access control systems and monitor security protocols.
  • Assist in environmental hazard management and remediation planning.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Implement and uphold departmental policies and standards.
  • Complete project-based assignments as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, construction, or maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of various maintenance trades and project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with a positive, self-motivated attitude.
Supervisory Duties:
  • Lead and mentor a team of facilities staff.
  • Conduct interviews and training for new employees.
  • Perform performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Budget Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial data to ensure operations remain within budget.
  • Prepare and present annual budgets to management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement budgetary suggestions.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform essential functions, including:
  • Frequent use of hands for tasks such as typing and handling equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting as necessary.
Working Environment:
