Job Overview

The Outbound Associate II plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of the outbound operations by coding and managing the picking queue. This position is vital for ensuring smooth order fulfillment and supporting various outbound functions such as picking, auditing, and shipping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Code orders based on established criteria to facilitate efficient order assignment.
  • Identify and address issues related to UOM, shipping methods, and other factors that may hinder perfect order processing.
  • Perform effective order assignments to optimize workflow.
  • Provide backup support for data entry and audit tracker maintenance.
  • Engage in data input and report upkeep to assist in tracking outbound metrics.
  • Achieve an average picking rate of 13 lines per hour while minimizing downtime between picks.
  • Utilize an RF scan gun to accurately select products according to order specifications.
  • Verify product numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment and handling merchandise.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to enhance picking and storage efficiency.
  • Participate in inventory assessments and contribute to maintaining warehouse inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order progress and any challenges faced.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, particularly in picking or material handling, preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in work or academic performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful and composed under pressure.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented setting.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong communication abilities.
  • Capable of operating an electric pallet jack and RF scan gun proficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Dependable and punctual with a robust work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
