Position: Head Host

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with exceptional guest recognition abilities, who can adapt swiftly and shows a genuine passion for enhancing the guest experience. The ideal Head Host thrives in a social environment and enjoys collaborating with a supportive team. A true professional in hospitality, capable of assessing the atmosphere, managing cover counts, and improvising as required. Kindling is a vibrant venue known for its delectable cuisine, crafted cocktails, extensive wine selection, and inviting neighborhood vibe. We pride ourselves on being a fun workplace and an excellent starting point for a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture centered around Teamwork, Execution, and Enjoyment. Responsibilities include participating in daily operations while maintaining a strong sense of balance. The Head Host will be a welcoming presence at the host stand, ensuring guests feel valued and recognized. We are in search of passionate hospitality professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with OpenTable
  • Effective and positive communication skills
  • A collaborative team player with an optimistic demeanor
  • Ability to remain composed and respectful under pressure
  • Utilize tact and sound judgment when addressing guest concerns, responding with patience and courtesy
  • Organized and efficient, maintaining a tidy work environment
  • Possess a strong sense of hospitality and its significance to our business
  • Assist in building a loyal customer base and engaging in community outreach initiatives
  • Maintain a warm and inviting presence at the host stand

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be available to assist as needed to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly as directed by management.
  • Adhere to health and food safety standards, including restocking items and cleaning.
  • Follow the policies and procedures of Fifty/50 Restaurant Group.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours as required.
  • Must be capable of frequent mobility for extended periods.
  • Regularly reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, and input data.
  • Work in both warm and cool environments.
  • Availability for morning, mid, and evening shifts.
  • Willingness to work weekends.
  • High noise levels from music and customer traffic.
  • Ability to tolerate potential allergens including peanut products, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a full-service, high-volume environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
  • Active engagement on social media platforms.
  • Availability to work on holidays and weekends.
  • Consistent schedule availability for at least 4 days per week.
