Position Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer who possesses extensive knowledge in soil analysis and construction materials. Your primary duties will encompass conducting field assessments, supervising percolation and laboratory tests on soil and construction materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing engineering evaluations for foundation design, crafting proposals and comprehensive reports, and ensuring adherence to client commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing tasks to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Actively engage in professional and technical organizations to enhance industry knowledge.
  • Supervise project execution and ensure quality standards are maintained.

Essential Qualifications:

Hard Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain it within the initial months of employment.
  • Experience in the Southwest region, specifically Arizona, Nevada, or Texas.
  • Background in Commercial, Public Works, or Residential projects.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong multitasking abilities while maintaining focus on overarching project goals.
  • Accountability for comprehensive project oversight.
  • Proficient in prioritizing projects and tasks effectively.
  • Active involvement in professional and technical organizations.

Job Type: This is a permanent position.

Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence and entails travel to various job sites (approximately 30% of the time) along with outdoor work in varying climate conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 45 hours per week, with additional hours during peak project phases. Projects will include roadway systems, high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and water management systems.
