We are currently seeking a Senior Internal Audit & Risk Consulting Professional to engage in comprehensive internal audit projects. This role involves managing and executing research and client evaluations, while ensuring that all client engagements are completed accurately and align with the Firm's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will gain valuable insights into the internal audit function within a public accounting context and will supervise consulting staff and interns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, plan, execute, and report on outsourced and/or co-sourced Internal Audit and Information Technology audits.
  • Effectively communicate findings to management, including the preparation of audit reports that clearly articulate results.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and modify work plans based on assessment outcomes.
  • Organize, prepare, and complete assigned tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Monitor workload to fulfill billable hour expectations and perform timely reviews of work products prior to submission for further evaluation.
  • Document procedures performed, findings, and draft comprehensive work papers and reports demonstrating effective writing skills.
  • Prepare for relevant certification examinations and maintain necessary continuing professional education (CPE) to meet firm and licensing requirements.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients and prospects, fostering trusted relationships with a diverse clientele.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate collaboration among team members, including offering timely performance feedback.
  • Embrace leadership opportunities within the practice, both internally and externally.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Audit or Assurance is required.
  • Possession or progress towards one of the following internal audit certifications: CPA or CIA is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more certifications in Information Technology auditing, such as CISA or CFE, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and project management skills are preferred.
  • General understanding of organizational and business functions to effectively complete assigned Internal Audit and IT Audit tasks.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both business and technical settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications at an intermediate or advanced level.
