Job Summary

World Insurance Associates, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate ledger entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review various financial statements, including P&L adjusting and closing entries.
  • Communicate effectively with other corporate functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting, insurance industry auditing, or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in general ledger systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
