Position Summary

We are currently in search of a Staff Accountant to contribute to our National Office. This role is integral to our team of experienced professionals in benefits and retirement planning.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily, monthly, and year-end functions of the Accounting Department. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Assisting in processes that guarantee precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Preparing and managing monthly journal entries for various entities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Conducting general account analysis and reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations and accruals.
  • Investigating significant or unusual transactions and suggesting corrective journal entries to management.
  • Performing data verification, including monitoring inter-company transactions.
  • Providing assistance during annual financial statement audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems and sub-ledger frameworks.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
