Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will:
- Revise process documentation primarily through conducting walkthroughs and collaborating with process and control owners.
- Conduct audits utilizing the ERP system to gather testing samples and create continuous auditing methodologies.
- Manage the quarterly control certification program.
- Monitor control issues and action plans, reporting periodically to the Internal Audit Director on any ineffective implementations.
- Act as the administrator for the Riskonnect Internal Controls application.
- Uphold the principles of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and competency.
- Evaluate emerging trends and effective practices in compliance.
- Follow established policies and procedures that guide the Internal Audit Department.
- Ensure compliance with US LBM's relevant policies and procedures, addressing any conflicts with the Internal Audit Charter by communicating with Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
- Lead special projects as directed by the Internal Audit Manager.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Internal Audit Manager, including executing Internal Audits at the request of the Internal Audit Director.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Experience Requirements
4-6 years of progressive experience in internal audit, accounting, and finance is required, with prior public accounting and public company audit experience preferred.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Advanced collaboration capabilities.
- The ability to succinctly convey complex information to a diverse audience, including internal colleagues, leadership, and the Audit Committee.
- A sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal Auditing methodologies and standards.
- Proficiency in assessing complex processes to identify potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
- Capability to perform data analysis using software tools such as IDEA.
- Experience with governance, risk, and compliance software.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or similar flowcharting tools.
Licenses and Certifications
Preferred certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel up to 30% is expected.
