The successful candidate will engage in comprehensive internal audit projects, which include managing and executing research and client evaluations. You will be responsible for preparing, finalizing, and ensuring the precision and compliance of client engagements in alignment with the Firm's strategic objectives. This role also involves mentoring consulting staff and interns, providing them with valuable insights into the internal audit function within a public accounting framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, plan, execute, and report on outsourced and/or co-sourced Internal Audit and Information Technology audits.
  • Effectively communicate findings to management, including the creation of detailed audit reports that convey results clearly and substantively.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and modify work plans based on assessment outcomes.
  • Organize, prepare, direct, and complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
  • Monitor workload to fulfill billable hour expectations and conduct timely reviews of work products prior to submission for further evaluation.
  • Document procedures performed, findings, and other relevant issues, and compile work papers, reports, and client correspondence with strong writing skills.
  • Prepare for relevant certification examinations and maintain required continuing professional education (CPE) for firm and licensing standards.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients and prospects, building and sustaining trusted relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate collaboration among team members, including delivering timely performance feedback.
  • Serve as a leader within the practice, seizing opportunities for professional growth and leadership.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Audit or Assurance is required.
  • Must possess or be in the process of obtaining one of the following internal audit certifications: CPA or CIA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of one or more Information Technology auditing certifications, such as CISA or CFE.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and project management skills.
  • General understanding of organizational and business functions to effectively complete assigned Internal Audit and/or IT Audit tasks.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both business and technical contexts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications at an intermediate or advanced level.
