We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at Academiceurope. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our analytical residue studies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and guide laboratory-based analytical residue studies to determine the behavior of our products in various matrices, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards.
- Function as an Analytical Principal Investigator or Study Director for GLP studies, ensuring all tasks associated with the study are compliant.
- Develop and implement quantitative analytical methods and processing strategies for pesticide residues, and perform residue sample analysis from various matrices.
- Evaluate data and prepare reports for submission to regulatory authorities, ensuring that the study meets the required business objectives.
- Tailor reports to regulatory concerns and communicate with project teams to ensure that work in progress remains aligned with the regulatory strategy.
- Assess and forecast time and resources needed to complete assigned studies and projects, and anticipate changes in project timing based on interpretation of current results.
- Maintain awareness of new developments in areas of expertise and make recommendations for adoption into Environmental Safety (EnSa) programs.
- Represent Academiceurope externally at industry meetings or at discussions with regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Metabolomics, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in trace residue analysis.
- Technical expertise in trace residue analysis using Liquid Chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to guide junior members in the conduct of residue analysis.
- Working knowledge of global regulatory processes and guidelines for crop protection chemicals, and experience working under EPA and/or OECD Good Laboratory Practices regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment, with strong analytical technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Metabolomics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in trace residue analysis.
- Experience in leading projects on cross-functional and global teams, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
- Proficiency in coding and complex data analysis, with experience in using computer programming languages such as Python for data analysis and automation.
