JOB OVERVIEW:

As a key member of the Human Resources team, the Head of Employee Benefits and Compensation is tasked with spearheading the development, execution, and oversight of the organization’s comprehensive rewards programs.

This role encompasses all facets of remuneration, employee benefits, and additional incentives that personnel receive in return for their contributions. The individual in this position is pivotal in attracting, retaining, and inspiring talent through competitive and thoughtfully structured compensation and benefits offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compensation Framework:
Formulate and implement a holistic compensation framework that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization. Supervise the creation and management of salary frameworks, incentive structures, and bonus schemes.

Benefits Management:
Design and oversee employee benefits initiatives, including health coverage, retirement schemes, wellness initiatives, and additional perks. Remain updated on industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure adherence to applicable laws and standards.

Executive Remuneration:
Create and manage executive remuneration packages, encompassing salaries, bonuses, and equity options, ensuring they are competitive and in line with corporate goals.

Performance Alignment:
Synchronize compensation and rewards with employee performance metrics, fostering a culture of high achievement.

Communication Strategy:
Develop effective communication strategies to clearly convey total rewards initiatives to employees.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits, ensuring that the organization’s total rewards programs comply with legal requirements and industry best practices.

Data-Driven Insights:
Leverage data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards initiatives.

Vendor Relations:
Manage partnerships with external vendors, such as benefits providers and compensation advisors, ensuring that contracts are negotiated effectively and that vendors deliver high-quality services.

Collaborative Efforts:
Work in tandem with other HR functions, finance, and senior management to align total rewards strategies with overarching business objectives.

Continuous Enhancement:
Regularly assess and refine total rewards programs to ensure they remain competitive and address the evolving needs of the organization and its workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree (MBA, MHRM, or equivalent) is preferred.

Significant experience (8-10 years minimum) in total rewards within a relevant sector, demonstrating a successful track record in developing effective compensation and benefits programs.

Proven ability to provide strategic guidance, navigate complex business landscapes, and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.

Strong analytical skills to interpret and assess data related to compensation and benefits.

Proficient project management capabilities to plan, execute, and oversee the implementation of total rewards initiatives.

Thorough understanding of pertinent employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to influence and manage organizational change.

In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the infrastructure sector.

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering results within budget and timeline constraints.
