AEG is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to oversee and manage the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) corporate partnership sales business. As the Executive Director, Business Development, you will lead corporate partnership sales and fulfillment efforts around events organized by the MSHSAA, maintaining and enhancing relationships with both the MSHSAA staff and their corporate partners and creating new opportunities for brands in the region to connect with the high school sports and extracurricular activities community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Grow Sales: Create and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth for new and existing accounts, with a focus on building strong relationships with corporate partners.
  • Build Creative Marketing Solutions: Develop innovative marketing solutions that add value and exceed the needs of corporate partners, using traditional, digital, and non-traditional marketing channels to meet client objectives.
  • Negotiate and Close Partnerships: Negotiate, structure, and close partnership contracts that deliver against company goals and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop a Strong Understanding of the Market: Stay up-to-date on the changing market landscape of high school partnership sales and create a unique product mix for clients.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with vendors, corporate partners, partnership staff, and MSHSAA personnel to ensure implementation of corporate partnerships and contract fulfillment.
  • Represent AEG at Events: Participate in game day events to share and highlight the high school sports and extracurricular activities experience with existing and potential partners.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to team collaboration and success, and maintain flexible work hours to accommodate events that may occur on weeknights or weekends.

Requirements

  • Experience in Sales Leadership: Proven track record of revenue growth at comparable-sized partnerships, with a strong understanding of the high school sports and extracurricular activities market.
  • Passion for High School Athletics: A genuine passion for high school athletics and extracurricular activities, with a deep understanding of the importance of these programs in shaping the next generation.
  • Analytical and Negotiation Skills: Ability to analyze client needs and craft integrated marketing solutions, with advanced negotiating skills and the ability to identify and influence key decision-makers.
  • Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the local and regional market landscape, with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of corporate partners in the region.
  • Relationship-Building Skills: Experience in developing, promoting, and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners, with effective communication, organizational, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to meet both short- and long-term business objectives, with a minimum of five years of applicable experience and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
