Job Summary:

The VP of Corporate Banking Relationship Development will be responsible for negotiating and coordinating the closing of major and complex corporate banking deals. This role will develop business checking and deposit relationships with customers, engage in business development activities, and solicit new business based on the target market.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and growing existing ones.
  2. Collaborate with the portfolio management team to ensure timely onboarding of prospects and maintenance of client relationships.
  3. Perform basic pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests, adhering to Bank credit culture and current economic trends.
  4. Compile and analyze market research data to develop recommendations on products and services tailored to the target market's needs.
  5. Represent the Bank in community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to enhance the Bank's image and develop additional business.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and seven or more years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Basic banking background, including negotiating and coordinating the closing of major and complex corporate banking deals, relationship development, and experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, Bank operational policies, and financial statement and tax return analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Bank lending procedures, Bank policies and procedures, and the Bank's products and services.
  • Extensive knowledge in all facets of relationship management, exceptional analytical skills, and intermediate skills in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as exceptional organizational and time management skills.


Compensation:

Salary range for new hires is generally $148,000.00 to $185,000.00 for San Francisco, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
