Corporate Banking Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Banking Associate to join our Technology Global Relationship Management Team in San Francisco, CA.
The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day.

Key Responsibilities:- Assist senior bankers with lending proposals, capital markets updates, and other pitches to existing and prospective clients.
- Prepare and present memos at capital committee that highlight the business rationale for leading or participating in revolving credit facilities, term loans, and other debt products.
- Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations, and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority.
- Cross-sell bank products and services by identifying transaction opportunities, marketing each product to identified clients, negotiating the terms and conditions, and executing and documenting the transactions.
- Develop a strategic and operational business plan for the department under the general guidelines provided by the Managing Director & Head of TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom).
- Promote sales and marketing activity to the target market.
- Seek new market opportunities for the division.
- Manage loan closing process teams that include KYC, funding, and liquidity.
- Support the Bank's culture through ongoing customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
- 2+ years' experience in U.S. banking and international markets with an emphasis on corporate or commercial credit analysis, capital markets and/or technology coverage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including business writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Knowledge of domestic and foreign financial markets and products, including non-banking financial institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience, Master's in Business or CFA preferred.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $135K - $155K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location with eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
