The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division offers expert support services to a variety of clients across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international sectors.

JOID delivers a wide array of analytical and programmatic capabilities to assist our clients in making informed decisions regarding their most pressing issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and programmatic support aimed at promoting, developing, and safeguarding the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's assistance encompasses the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies, delivering essential decision support to national security leaders.

Our team plays a crucial role in informing policy decisions, facilitating the execution of comprehensive strategies, and monitoring the effectiveness of implementation. This empowers senior leaders to execute strategies for nurturing and sustaining a robust industrial base that aligns with our nation's strategic resource objectives.

From policy formulation to practical application, we are a collective of economic and national security experts delivering innovative solutions to our Nation's most urgent security challenges.

We are currently seeking a Special Operations Forces Support Staff Officer I to provide onsite assistance at a key location.

Responsibilities

The Special Operations Forces Support Staff Officer will assist OUSD(I&S)'s HUMINT & Sensitive Activities (H&SA) Directorate in their mission to ensure oversight, governance, and integration.

The candidate will leverage technical expertise and provide analysis across a broad spectrum of complex sensitive programs and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning, directing, and coordination of policy development related to sensitive activities.
  • Providing short-notice decision support for senior defense leaders.
  • Gathering and synthesizing information to develop and coordinate staff packages for issues and engagements related to intelligence and special operations.
  • Offering recommendations for the development, review, and revision of strategy and policy guidance concerning sensitive activities in support of special operations.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate's Degree
  • 1 year of experience with Special Operations Forces and/or clandestine operations.
  • 1 year of experience in policy development and providing recommendations related to sensitive special operations.
  • Active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility

  • Experience supporting OUSD(I&S)
