Department Overview
The Joint Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division, offers specialized support services to a diverse clientele, including the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, and international partners. This division provides a comprehensive range of analytical and programmatic services designed to assist our clients in making informed decisions regarding their most pressing challenges.
Role of the Industry and Security Analysis Group
The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within the Interagency Division delivers analytical, technical, and programmatic support aimed at fostering, enhancing, and safeguarding the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's support encompasses various federal agencies, including the Department of Defense and the Department of Commerce, to provide essential decision-making assistance to national security leaders. Our team plays a critical role in informing policy decisions, facilitating the execution of comprehensive strategies, and monitoring the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to pursue strategies that develop and sustain a robust industrial base aligned with our nation's strategic resource goals. We are a collective of economic and national security experts dedicated to offering innovative solutions to our nation's most urgent security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
The National Programs and Policy Support Officer will assist the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD (I&S)) in its mission to ensure oversight, governance, and integration. The selected candidate will leverage technical expertise, conduct thorough research and analysis, and provide informed recommendations for intelligence-related initiatives in alignment with the National Defense Strategy, the priorities set by the Secretary of Defense, and the strategic objectives of USD (I&S). Additionally, the candidate will coordinate and synchronize sensitive operations and special access capabilities to enhance operational integration and collaboration across the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and the broader federal interagency landscape. Responsibilities also include preparing comprehensive reports, briefings, senior-level correspondence, and staff action packages to support the requirements of OUSD (I&S).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting sensitive operations and national security requirements within the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community, particularly in mission integration on military or interagency teams
- Active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
