Job Title: Guest Service Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Agent to join our team at Vespera Resort. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Register guests into the system, verifying reservation details and ensuring accuracy.
  • Accept payment for guest accounts, both at check-in and check-out.
  • Maintain a house bank and make daily deposits and reports.
  • Issue keys and control access to safety deposit boxes.
  • Post miscellaneous charges as requested by guests.
  • Assist with handling mail and facsimiles, providing guests with information on hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Book reservations for guests who approach the front desk.
  • Complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the system, confirming guest details and room rate, and promoting marketing programs.
  • Assist with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, and accepting various forms of payment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, and promotions, and answer guest questions and inquiries.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research, and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Carry out supervisor requests in accordance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operations.
  • Follow safety and security procedures.
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Additional guest services duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to upsell guests into rooms that fit their needs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • General knowledge of the city and its attractions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities.
  • Ability to handle cash and balance cash drawer.
  • Strong team player, able to partner with management and other employees in a professional manner.
